Feedback#DermaAId detects #OralCandidiasis: often the first sign of #HIV infection. Oral Candidiasis or #Thrush is a fungal infection of the mouth and throat and occurs in 50-80% of children infected with HIV. It is often a first illness that signals HIV infection is progressing. Diagnosis is made through visual inspection of white/yellow spots in the mouth and symptoms of burning, discomfort and altered taste. In internal testing, DermaAID app detected Candidiasis from seven other oral lesions with 76% sensitivity highlighting the utility of our app in early detection and intervention.
